Anti-Ragging Committee at KT School Of Professional Education
At KT School Of Professional Education, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. We firmly believe that the foundation of a productive academic journey is a campus free from fear and harassment. Ragging not only violates the principles of equality and respect but also has a severe negative impact on the physical and mental well-being of students. That’s why we have implemented a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging in any form, ensuring that every student is treated with dignity.
Our Anti-Ragging Committee
To maintain a respectful and secure environment, we have established an Anti-Ragging Committee at KT School Of Professional Education. This committee is dedicated to enforcing measures that prevent ragging and swiftly addressing any related incidents. The committee adheres strictly to the guidelines provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education to eliminate ragging from our institution.
The Anti-Ragging Committee comprises senior faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives, all working together to ensure a safe, respectful, and harassment-free campus.
Key Responsibilities of the Anti-Ragging Committee
- Prevention: The committee organizes awareness programs for both new and returning students, educating them about the harmful effects of ragging and the institution's zero-tolerance policy.
- Monitoring: Our team conducts regular monitoring of campus areas, including hostels, canteens, and common spaces, through Anti-Ragging Squads, ensuring that any form of ragging is detected early.
- Complaint Handling: We offer a confidential and secure process for students to report any incidents of ragging. This ensures that their safety, privacy, and well-being are protected.
- Penalties and Disciplinary Actions: In line with UGC regulations, the committee enforces strict penalties against those found guilty of ragging. Appropriate disciplinary action is taken in such cases to maintain the integrity of the institution.
Anti-Ragging Awareness Campaigns
To reinforce our commitment to a ragging-free environment, KT School Of Professional Education conducts regular awareness campaigns, including:
- Sensitization Programs: These programs aim to educate students and faculty members about the legal consequences and negative effects of ragging.
- Public Awareness Materials: We distribute leaflets, posters, and notices throughout the campus to raise awareness about ragging and inform students of the penalties involved.
- Digital Campaigns: Awareness campaigns are also conducted through our website and other digital platforms to ensure that the message reaches all students, staff, and faculty members.
Anti-Ragging Cell
The Anti-Ragging Cell serves as the point of contact for students who wish to report incidents of ragging or need assistance. The cell plays a crucial role in coordinating the actions of the committee and ensuring that the policies are enforced effectively. Students are encouraged to approach the cell for guidance on how to prevent ragging, and to report any incidents in a safe and confidential manner.
